Q: What's the difference between free and premium?
A: Free tier gives you the Flower of Life pattern, basic visualizer controls (complexity, size), and synth master volume/tuning. Premium unlocks all 6 patterns, full visualizer controls, complete synthesizer, sequencer, export/recording, and removes the watermark.
Q: I don't see any visuals. How do I turn on the visualizer?
A: Turn the visualizer on by choosing music from your phone or desktop, or by turning on the synthesizer. The visualizer requires an audio source to generate visuals.
Q: What does the Choose Music button do?
A: The Choose Music button plays audio files from your phone or laptop. MusiPhi supports MP3, WAV, OGG, FLAC, M4A, AAC, OPUS, WebM, and AIFF files. Your files are processed locally and never uploaded.
Q: Can I use my own music files?
A: Yes! MusiPhi supports MP3, WAV, OGG, FLAC, M4A, AAC, OPUS, WebM, and AIFF files. Just click "Choose Music" and select your file. Your audio files are never uploaded or stored - everything runs locally in your browser.
Q: Does MusiPhi work with MIDI controllers?
A: Absolutely! MusiPhi has full MIDI support with MIDI Learn. Connect your MIDI keyboard, pads, or control surface, and map any parameter to any controller. You can even play the synthesizer with your MIDI keyboard.
Q: Can I record videos of my visualizations?
A: Yes, with Premium! Click the record button to capture 60fps video with audio. Perfect for creating content for YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, or visual art projects.
Q: What is PTT tuning?
A: PTT (Precise Temperament Tuning) by Robert Edward Grant is a special tuning system based on sacred geometry and the cuboctahedron. It features a unique major 3rd ratio of 1.26 and A4 at 432.081216 Hz. Perfect for exploring sacred frequencies and alternative tuning systems.
Q: Is my payment information secure?
A: Yes! All payments are processed through Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor trusted by millions. We never see or store your credit card information. Your payment data is encrypted and handled exclusively by Stripe.
Q: Can I switch from monthly to yearly?
A: Yes! Open Account Settings → Manage Subscription → Billing Portal. You can upgrade to yearly and Stripe will automatically prorate your remaining monthly credit.
Q: Do I need to install anything?
A: No! MusiPhi is a web application that runs entirely in your browser. Just visit musiphi.app and start creating. Works on desktop (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) and mobile devices.
Q: Can I use MusiPhi for live performances?
A: Yes! MusiPhi is perfect for VJ work, DJ sets, live music performances, and visual art installations. Use fullscreen mode, connect your MIDI controller, and create real-time audio-reactive visuals. The built-in synthesizer can occasionally have browser glitches so it's more recommended for exploring different tunings and with shorter recordings and lighter use. We have a VST and Standalone instrument better suited for live musical playback.
Q: What browsers are supported?
A: MusiPhi works best on modern browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. For the best experience with audio recording and MIDI, we recommend Chrome on desktop.
Q: Can I get a refund?
A: Yes! If you're not satisfied within the first 7 days of your subscription, contact support@musiphi.app and we'll issue a full refund, no questions asked.

Q: What languages does MusiPhi support?
A: MusiPhi is fully translated into 6 languages: English, Español (Spanish), 中文 (Chinese Simplified), Français (French), Deutsch (German), and Português (Portuguese/Brazilian). You can switch languages using the language selector in the app. All 334 UI elements are professionally translated across all supported languages.

⏸️ How to Cancel Subscription
Cancel Anytime - No Questions Asked:
- Click the "Account" button (bottom-right corner) to open Account Settings
- Click "Manage Subscription"
- Click either "Cancel Subscription" or "Billing Portal" button
- If using Billing Portal, Stripe's secure billing portal opens in a new tab
- Click "Cancel plan" at the bottom of the page
- Confirm cancellation
What Happens After Cancellation:
